Q:Where were you born?
A: Indianapolis, Indiana. I moved to Oklahoma with my mom in 1983. She's since moved back.
Q: What are you're interests and hobbies?
A: I like to play the guitar and have written some songs down through the years. Worship and other stuff. I am somewhat of a news junkie. I like to stay informed on government policy issues.
Q: What's your favorite food?
A: Hard to say...I love ethnic foods, but if I had to pick a fav I would say that I never get burned out on oriental.
Q: I heard you wrote a book?
A: Yea. It's called Speak To The Sky. It's about using faith to stop destructive weather like Jesus did. You can find out about it at www.speaktothesky.net.

A: Ephesians 1:17-23

A: Anything SciFi is great. Fifth Element, Matrix, Lost, never get old.
Mark began his adventure in Christ in 1986 as what he describes as a drug addicted 18 year old with no purpose or direction. He was saved at an Assembly Of God Church in Oklahoma City during a Rich Wilkerson Crusade. He plugged into the church and began to sense God's calling into ministry. He met Teresa Bogle in youth choir and married her a year later. Their two children, Jared and Valorie were born there as well. In 1993, the Deckards moved to the Grand Lake area where Teresa's family history dates back to the land run. Mark continued his ministry path by serving as youth minister at two churches in the area, both in volunteer and full time capacities. In June of 2003 Church On The Lake asked Mark to come and be their Pastor.
Mark says that Church On The Lake is the best church he has had the priviledge of being part of.
" It's the people that make the journey so joyful. They are so unified and positive about what God is doing for them and what he wants to do for others through them. When I see the way they pray for each other and support one another and reach out to new people, I have to believe that Jesus sees a church that he can be proud of."

Fawn Carroll came on board at Church On The Lake the beginning of 2009. She lives in Vinita, Oklahoma with her husband Steve. Together they have 6 children and 3 grandchildren.
Fawn began her faith journey in the 4th grade at a vacation bible school in Adair, Oklahoma.
Fawn's ministry passion is reaching children and building them as strong Christians. She has excelled in this calling for the last 20 years leading hundreds of children to faith and baptism in Christ.
In addition to coordinationg the children's ministry at Church On the Lake, Fawn has stepped forward to use her musical talent and heart of worship to lead the congregational singing on Sunday mornings.
The friendship between Pastor Mark and the Carroll family goes back more than a decade. Pastor Mark comments, "Having such a cherished and lasting friendship as a part of my ministry team is truly a blessing. "
Fawn says that she and Steve "came to Church On The Lake looking for a Pastor who was anointed to preach the Gospel, had a vision for the future and a God kind of love for his congregation and community...Church On The Lake fit that bill completely".
